Timothy Smith joined the litigation department at Berding & Weil LLP in 2010. He represents individual homeowners, commercial real estate owners and common interest developments in complex construction defect actions.

Prior to joining Berding & Weil LLP, Mr. Smith served as an Assistant District Attorney for the New York County District Attorney's Office in Manhattan from 2004 to 2010. During his tenure, Mr. Smith conducted investigations, served as lead prosecutor in both jury and bench trials and presented matters to the Grand Jury for indictment.

Mr. Smith received his J.D. from Syracuse University College of Law in 2004. He received a B.A. in Political Science and Russian European studies and a B.A. in English from the University of Massachusetts-Amherst in 2000.
