Melissa Bauman Ward

Melissa Ward joined Berding & Weil in 2010. She practices in the corporate and business law department, specializing in real property and common interest development law.
Prior to joining Berding & Weil, Ms. Ward practiced corporate and business law at De La Housaye & Associates in Walnut Creek, where she counseled clients on real estate matters, entity formation and maintenance, contract negotiation, intellectual property matters, business and stock sales, and employment issues. Ms. Ward also practiced real estate litigation at Miller, Starr & Regalia on a variety of real estate matters, including mortgage lending and foreclosures, receiverships, ADA/disability access, construction defects, title insurance, and lease disputes.
Ms. Ward received her Juris Doctor in 1992 from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law, where she was Editor-in-Chief of the Hastings International and Comparative Law Review. She received her Bachelor of Arts with Honors in History from Yale University in 1987.
Ms. Ward is a member of the State Bar of California and the Real Property Section of the State Bar. She is also a member of the Contra Costa County Bar Association.
