Partner Chad Thomas joined Berding & Weil LLP in 2006. Mr. Thomas represents common interest developments, commercial land owners, businesses, and individuals. He specializes in handling complex construction-defect cases as well as business litigation and real-estate disputes.

During his tenure at Berding & Weil LLP, Mr. Thomas has handled complex real estate disputes, breach of contract actions, cases involving mold and asbestos, insurance coverage disputes, professional liability actions, debt collection, and product liability cases. He has also advised common interest developments on general matters, including governing document analysis and interpretation, drafting and administering contracts for maintenance, repair, and reconstruction of common area and separate interest property. He has successfully resolved many cases and recovered millions of dollars for the firm’s clients. He has appeared and argued in state courts throughout California.

Prior to joining Berding & Weil LLP, Mr. Thomas practiced in San Jose, California focusing on real estate litigation. Mr. Thomas’ experience ranges from representing one of the nations largest residential real estate developers to small business owners and individuals in real estate and construction defect litigation.

Mr. Thomas received his J.D. from the University of Pacific, McGeorge School of Law in 2003, where he was a member of the Dean's Council and the California Law Revision Seminar. He received his B.S. from St. Mary's College of California in 2000, where he was a scholarship athlete and a politics major.
