Anand R. Upadhye

Anand Upadhye joined the litigation department at Berding & Weil LLP in 2010. Mr. Upadhye represents individual homeowners, common interest developments and commercial real estate owners in class action and complex construction defect lawsuits.
Prior to joining Berding & Weil LLP, Mr. Upadhye was an Assistant District Attorney for the San Francisco District Attorney's office. Before law school, he worked as a paralegal in the areas of civil litigation and immigration law.
Mr. Upadhye received his J.D. from the University of San Diego School of Law in 2009, where he was a member of the Appellate Moot Court Board and Trial Team. During law school, he clerked at the San Francisco District Attorney's Office and the California Office of the Attorney General, where he argued in the California Courts of Appeal. He received his Bachelor's degree from the University of California, Berkeley in 2003, where he majored in Philosophy and Political Science and served as a senator in the Associated Students of the University of California and as a staff writer for the Berkeley Political Review.
Mr. Upadhye is a member of the State Bar of California and the American Bar Association. He is also admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the Northern District of California.
